Oakland Touchdown

The roadway connecting the Skyway section to the existing freeway lanes west of the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza is called the Oakland Touchdown. Work will involve the building of two roadway sections and a new electrical substation, in addition to extensive relocation of underground utilities. The westbound approach of the Touchdown will be built atop the Geofill area.

The Oakland Touchdown will be one of the last phases of the East Span project. Check back later for more details.
